Earsonics have produced a remarkable generic earplug with an innovative natural sound acoustic filter. Conceptualised and designed by a leading French sound engineer Franck Lopez, the Earsonics Earpad will help give you a real world response when you have it firmly in place in your ear, providing hearing protection, yet allowing you to hear sound with its full acoustical content.
The Earsonics Earpad has been developed to help compensate for the ears physical make up, in terms of its frequency perception at lower sound pressure levels. It's a bit like the loudness button on a domestic Hi-Fi amplifier. Once the loudness button is pressed in, the amplifier will boost the low and high frequencies of any musical programme, which is especially useful when the sound level is decreased. The Earpad does something similar, within the earplug's own filter characteristics to help make up for the ear's lack of sensitivity. The result is truly outstanding for a passive acoustic filter and one of a kind.
